President

Marianne Arnold earned two Bachelor’s degrees at San Francisco State and New Mexico State Universities and her PhD in Molecular and Environmental Plant Sciences at Texas A&M. She has been politically active since 1968. Since retirement, she has served as Precinct Chair, Treasurer of the local TDW, volunteer for many political campaigns, election official, and candidate for the Texas House of Representatives.

Secretary

Linda Arbuckle became active in the Democratic Party in 2008 when voted in her first Democratic Party primary election. She served as a delegate for Hillary Clinton, representing Burleson County at the Texas Democratic Party state convention. Linda has attended every TDP state convention since then. Linda has served her county party as secretary, county chair, and precinct chair. Linda has served as a volunteer deputy voter registrar for multiple counties since 2010. Currently, Linda serves as secretary for TDW BV and secretary for TDW. The program that warms Linda’s heart the most is the TDP voter assistance hotline. She loves helping voters during elections, confirming their voter registration, finding their polling location, reporting issues at polling locations, and helping our seniors vote their ballot by mail.
Vicky Salin

Vicky Salin

Treasurer

Vicky Salin has been involved with local Democrats for 4 years and is serving as Treasurer for the BCDP and for TX Democratic Women of the Brazos Valley. She first volunteered with Democrats on the Ferraro campaign for VP, handling correspondence. Ask about death threats to Geraldine Ferraro and did that stop her! Vicky joined rallies for the ERA ratification in Illinois (1982) and for nuclear freeze as a study abroad student in Europe (1981). Recently she has volunteered as a Beto for Texas / Powered by People ambassador and block captain for Texas Blue Action. In 2024 Vicky retired as professor at Texas A&M where she taught financial management and economics in the agribusiness program.
